Tropical Air is the first locally-owned Zanzibari aviation company in Zanzibar and started its operations in 1999 with only one single-engine aircraft. Ten years down the line we have acquired an impressive fleet, available to serve our ever-growing client base.

Owned by family members Captain Omar H. Nura, and his nephew Farouk O. Daud, they are conversant with the investment climate in general and the tourism industry in particular.

Captain Omar is an experienced pilot, flying for the past 20 years, being particularly familiar with the tourism industry within Zanzibar and neighbouring East African countries. Farouk has a proven track record and a wealth of experience in the aviation industry in East Africa in general.

Today we are still flying high by acquiring additional aircraft and expanding our service base by exploring new scheduled routes to Tanga, Mombasa and further afield in Tanzania.
